“Where the Wild Things Are” Trailer

The trailer for “Where the Wild Things Are” is finally here. The Arcade Fire soundtrack seems to fit perfectly, and has made me rather hopeful of a movie that I was very skeptical of after the rumors of re-shoots being ordered by the studio.

Producer Gary Goetzman had this to say back in July of 2008 about the rumors of disagreement in creative vision:

There was an Alan Horn conversation where he said his vision and Spike’s vision weren’t on the same page. We support Spike’s vision. We’re helping him make the vision he wants to make.

Who’s to know if this was the truth of the typical Hollywood spin. Looks like it will be a while until we find out the truth. The Spike Jonze directed film is scheduled for a release date of October 16, 2009.
